March 19 meeting: Flooding the Zone
The Trump administration's strategy for its first 100 days seems to be one of "flooding the zone." The idea, often attributed to Steve Bannon, is to issue so many executive orders, policy pronouncements, and policy reversals that opponents can't keep up with them. Some may be shot down, but many will get through, some not even noticed until it is too late. How to cope?
An essential first step, it seems to us, is to sort out priorities. What are the one, two, or ten Trump policies that you think are most important to focus on? Bring your nominations to our March 19 meeting. We can go around the table and hopefully find some agreement. While we are at it, perhaps we can identify any items in the Trump/Musk blizzard of initiatives that are actually helpful.
